Jigra song Tenu Sang Rakhna: Arijit Singh’s voice adds soul to Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s sibling bond

Alia Bhatt’s Satya is heartbroken at the unfair arrest of her younger brother Ankur (Vedang Raina) and does everything possible to get him out, in the latest music video of new Jigra song Tenu Sang Rakhna, released by Saregama Music on Thursday.

A three-minute-two-second video, shot in Singapore, opens with Satya asking the prison authorities if she looks sad before her meeting with Ankur. Both the siblings suffered silently in their respective cells. Ankur, caught behind the bars of his cell, recalled all the happy memories he shared with his sister. Satya, just as dejected, never lost her will to fight for the truth, scurried from lawyer to lawyer and across the corridors of the authorities, still fighting for Ankur’s freedom.

The song Tenu Sang Rakhna has been sung by Arijit Singh, Anumita Nadesan, and Achint Thakkar. Thakkar has also composed the song, and its lyricist is Varun Grover.

This film Jigra is Alia’s third film in her production banner Eternal Sunshine Productions. These include the 2022 Netflix dark comedy film Darlings and the 2024 Amazon Prime Video crime-drama web series Poacher.

This is Alia Bhatt’s first collaboration with Vasan Bala, known for his thrillers such as Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota (2018) and Monica, O My Darling (2022).

Jigra is co-produced by Karan Johar’s banner Dharma Productions. Jigra will have a theatrical release on October 11.

Jigra is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller film by Vasan Bala.
